This department has been successfully carrying out the above tasks for more than 150 years. With technological developments in the World, this department has also changed with time. This department has been carrying out above work manually till date. However, vision of this department in future shall be as follows.:
- Full computerisation of the department.
- Development of Interactive Web Site
- Simplification of processes and maintenance of transparency while rendering services to citizen
- Development of accessible system for receipt of citizen’s complaints/suggestions
- Development of accessable system for understanding citizen’s feed back.
- Aiming for leading inspection agency in the field of boilers & pressure vessels manufacturing, inspection, & failure analysis with latest technical know-how at par with international inspection agencies.
- Development of techniques in the field of inspection during manufacturing, erection, registration & inspection of Super Critical Boilers where in density of steam & water is same. These type of boilers will be commissioned in the year 2012 in Maharashtra
State.
- Encouraging Non Conventional Energy like Solar energy for generation of steam by promoting and helping Solar Boiler Manufacturing Units.
- Creating awareness programmes in all regional offices to create awareness in public regarding Amendments in The Boiler Act, 1923.
